Mounting and painting instructions

The products from ‘‘Modanatura’’ are designed to decorate plasterboard ceiling constructions, walls, furniture, doors and etc.  These materials could be glued easily on a variety of surfaces such as drywall, plaster, wood, glass, tile and etc.  Due to the flexibility of this product it is possible to decorate arch apertures, columns, convex and concave surfaces without losing the correct geometry of the pattern.  There is a special deepening for glue at the back side of each molding for a tight fit of the product to the surface without squeezing out the glue. Any mounting adhesive can be used (for example, Polymer glues). Products can be used for both indoors and outdoors decorations, separately or in combination with other decorative parts. This decor can be painted by any type of paint in any desirable colour (the most durable is nitro coating). It can be also textured with plaster.

ROSETTES

To mount the product from ‘’Modanatura’’ the following tools are required: construction adhesive in tubes or a gun for applying adhesive (glue is applied pointwise along the ornament), a knife (clerical or kitchen), a pencil, duct tape. First mark the position of the decor on the surface before gluing using a template "Modanatura". The product must be attached to the straight, clean, and dry surfaces.

Decor is mounted as follows:

1. Carefully detach the elements from the template using a knife
2. Fixe the template to the place where you plan to place the decor using a duct tape
3. Make the marks on the wall’s or ceiling’s surface through the holes in the template using a pencil
4. Apply glue on back side of every element of decor and fix it on its place covering the marks

MOLDINGS

To mount the product from ‘’Modanatura’’ the following tools are required:

1. A finely toothed handsaw or a file
2. Measuring tape
3. Construction adhesive in tubes or a gun for applying adhesive (glue is applied pointwise along the ornament)
4. Abrasive cloth

Cut the needed length of the molding and smooth the cut edge using an abrasive cloth. Mark the position of the molding on the surface before gluing if there are no other reference points.  If decor is going to be painted, it is better first to degrease and to prime the molding’s surface. When using water-based paints, the paint should be applied 2-3 times (the paint must not be too liquid). In order to get a better coating, gypsum or PVA glue can be added in the paint. The molding can be bended in a small radius by heating it with a dryer. The product must be attached to the straight, clean, and dry surfaces.
